Our newest beer, the “Coldfinger – Cold IPA” is our first hoppy special in a CAN! Cold IPAs are a modern twist on a classic West Coast IPA, with the grist of the beer containing solely Pilsner malt and corn flakes. Using a higher-fermenting lager yeast and leaving out all kind of caramel malts, not only the hop aroma, but also the bitterness in the beer comes into its own. The hop varieties Sultana, Chinook and Ekuanot lend the Coldfinger IPA notes of pineapple, lime and subtle resinous notes, while a novel hybrid lager yeast ensures a dry and clean finish.
The Coldfinger – Cold IPA is the pioneer in our conversion from 0.33l non-returnable bottles to 0.33l cans. In the course of the year, all other varieties will gradually be converted to can filling. The dose provides 100% sun protection, a very important thing with hoppy beers. Furthermore, it saves shipping weight and does not break as easily as glass during shipping.
